I saw the commercial of Garnier Light Face Cream and it sounds pretty convincing. I read a lot of ads of Garnier Light Face Cream in the magazine and they sound so promising. I have always wanted to have light skin. Plus, I am attracted to it’s nice yellow packaging. Since it is not that expensive, I decided to purchase it and give it a try.

The jar of cream comes in a yellow box, neatly wrapped in plastic. It also comes with a skin color ruler to measure your skin color after using it. I started using it every morning and night after cleansing my face. The cream is light. It absorbs pretty well into the skin. But it is not moisturizing enough. If you have dry skin, you might want to purchase a good additional moisturizer to apply afterwards. That is what I did and I have oily skin. The smell of the cream is so refreshing. It has a light lemon fragrance. I hate heavily fragranced cosmetics and my term of “heavily fragranced” is different but this is just nice. The cream absorbs quick into the skin so I do not have to wait long before I can apply my makeup. The commercial claims that you will get 2 shades lighter after around 2 weeks of using the cream.

After about 3 weeks, I still haven’t seen results. Not even a shade lighter. I decided to give it another week. I ended up using it for another 2 weeks. Still no results. My skin was not lighter at all. I threw the product in the thrash. It did absolutely nothing to my skin. I did not see any change. I was so disappointed. What a big hype.

This product in my opinion is a junk. It is a complete waste of my money. I will never ever buy anything from Garnier again because every time I bought a product from Garnier, it will end up in the thrash. What a big disappointment.

well, i`ve been using Garnier Light Face Cream for about 2year, i stick to it because i find it pretty nice however just not to moisturizing. I have dry skin for a period of time, so i changed my facial foam cleasing product. Sometime it is due to the type of cleasing product you use. They might be super oil-free which make the skin so dry. Our face needs some oil no matter what, to me thats the case. I changed to Acne Facial Foam, and it is pretty good. Dry Skin are away from me now and Garnier Light works perfectly fine with it. However it can`t lighten my blemishes i have, due to acne. I shouldn`t be changing skin products often and should stick to one.
